Is the moral of this story, “don’t steal cars with kids in them?” Or just, “don’t steal cars?”
3100 blk Oakland Av S:
Officers respond to auto theft; parent left 3-yr old child napping in car, left car parked, running with keys in ignition when going into apartment building; suspect realized child in car after driving away; dropped child off on street blocks away; officers sweep area, looking for cars which matched description, located car on I-35W; stopped car, took suspect into custody; child found way home, unharmed: Arrested/AUTOTHEFT
Your chances of being caught for auto-theft must go up a lot if you happen to steal a 3-year old child in the process.
Now, what type of burglars do laundry?
700 blk 28th Av W:
Officer responded to Burglary call; rental agent reported lights on, washer running in apartment which should be vacant; officers noted window of basement door broken; premises searched, suspect found inside: Arrested/BURGLARY
Strange.
The Minneapolis Crime of the Week series of posts on The Deets are awesome. Keep it up.
There must be a (money) laundering joke in there somewhere.
Aaron’s right, this series is hilarious! Keep it coming.
