The Anoka County Union has a great follow-up with Kim Dahl, the bus driver made famous by the 35W bridge collapse.
But for now, she’s dealing with good and bad days as they come.
The after effects of the accident include pain, the kind that wakes Kim up at 3 a.m. and doesn’t let her go back to sleep in the recliner she’s traded for a bed to ease the pressure on her back.
Next week she’ll see a doctor to address some shoulder problems that have come up since her initial treatment after the accident.
“Things keep coming up from the accident – the aching and the paining,†explained Kim.
The 30 ft. fall and sudden landing while she was behind the wheel have taken a toll on her body.
According to the article, she’s hoping to return to her job by November.
Best of luck with the recovery, Kim.
