A 20km exclusion zone has been created around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. What would an exclusion zone of that radius look like around the Praire Island Nuclear Power Plant near Red Wing:

It’s basically the distance from 494 to 694 west to east.

@steve, sounds like a nuclear facility in either downtown would be a very bad idea.

@Ed Kohler Agreed. With all those tsunamis we’ve been getting from Lake Pepin, it would be a death wish.

@Tom, we probably are tsunami proof, but we’re not natural or unnatural disaster proof.
