My friend Barbara is showing off Vancouver’s latest print yellow pages found
in the lobby of the Sheraton Guilford Hotel in Surrey, BC.
This is a hardcover edition.
Yes, that is correct.
A hardcover yellow pages.
That’s going to give the web a run for its money.

What do you think of the recent Dex One ads, setting up Dex as the expert on web-based marketing for small businesses?

At first I thought your headline said “Hardcore” Yellow Pages, which actually is a good idea.

@Daughter Number Three, YP companies like Dex have business relationships in place that can surely be used to sell things other than print yellow pages ads. Web marketing seems like a decent fit, although there is no guarantee that people who’ve sold print YP ads for decades can sell web marketing services as effectively, or if there is enough money to in that to make it worth doing. Then there is the fulfillment side. Providing effective web marketing services is a different business than printing books of ads.

Hi Ed,
A hardcover edition? No way. Get out. What’s the use of that? Although 2/3rds of my Congressional District 2 (MN CD2) doesn’t have broadband.
And hey, would you be so kind as to e-mail your snail mail address? Congratulations on being nominated for MN Top blogger on our little poll. I love your site. (Holly, for mnpoliticalroundtable.com)

I only use leather bound yellow pages with gold foil embossing.
