"opt OUT... .opt IN....... Yellow Pages distribution should be based on Subscription!"

Let's all chant! and chant loud folks....

It would be great if we all got together and created an informative youtube channel or site on the subject.

Like Jerry Maguire said..... "WHO'S COMING WITH ME?"

Great readfellas. And please visit my site and comment. Hopefully Scott Klein at Idearc makes an effort to do something other than copying ServiceMagic.com with the Service Guarantee.... this might actually be something that he can say " Has made Idearc and Industry Leader in Yellow Page delivery via subscription "

Maybe before buying RHD in the next coming months they do something else like buy that cool little "Entertainment Book" that has all the coupons to Tom Thumb...... lol Might make the YP more useful and valuable.

Cheers!

@Rob, while that sounds ridiculously inefficient, it does sound like a step forward. Good stuff.

At least YellowBook is starting to listen. They dumped a book on my front step last friday. I immediately filled out their 'Print Directory Inquiries" form and in the comments asked them to dispatch someone to pickup the trash they littered on my property. I'm happy to report that as of this afternoon, the book is gone. Hopefully their opt-out settings are sticky!

I still think that before all is said and done, white and yellow pages will become custom print runs for subscribers who prepay to get a phone book. In other words, old people and the technologically inhibited.
