Locked Doors Prevent Crimes
Here’s a snippet from the 3rd Precinct MPD Sector 4 Community Bulletin for the past week. Sector 4 of the 3rd Precinct covers the following neighborhoods: Cooper, Hiawatha, Howe, Longfellow, Seward.
I wonder if this is a case of being lulled into a false sense of security? The crime levels in this part of town are so low that people focus their energy yellow pages spam instead. If you happen to be a burglar and are reading this, if you ever notice that my garage door is unlocked, could you take the propane tank and lock the door on the way out? I’ve been meaning to return that thing for a while now. Keep the deposit and get yourself something nice.
Regarding the last report on the list: Did someone really report their radar detector stolen to the cops? I bet the MPD’s going to work double shifts until they recover that stolen radar detector.

Whats the point of the fourth one with no loss listed?
Did they see the perp or just get a general feeling of “someone has been in here-I can sense it”
Maybe it was the old red thread taped to the door and door frame bit that alerted them to the tampering?
