Twin Cities Real Estate: Better than SoCal
Zillow has crated a map illustrating which parts of the country are currently feeling the most pain on recent home purchases. A sizable chunk of people who’ve purchased homes in the past 5 years currently owe more on their mortgage than their home is worth.
The good news in the Twin Cities? At least we’re not Southern California:

Of course, there are plenty of people who’ve owned their homes for longer than 5 years who are down from their highs but not upside down on their mortgages.

It’s times like these when I feel sort of lucky to be young, poor, and the owner of NOTHING. I had nothing to lose.

Well – I just read an article that more couples are raising kids downtown. Good timing…because seems like I won’t be selling my downtown home anytime soon. Surely that extra 10 x 10 bedroom is enough room for a Brady bunch.

Kyle, I’ve heard that storks prefer downtown babies. Less flying between home deliveries.
