[ # ] St Anthony Pool Drawdown

The Mississippi River just below the St Anthony Falls in Minneapolis typically looks like this:

But today it looked like this after water was released from the pool:

It’s kind of tough to tell from the photo but there are people walking underneath the 2nd arch from the left. If you click on the photo you can see them in a larger version.

Here’s a closer up shot:

You can see people walking around very well in the original photo.

kind of neat….I wonder if people were finding keys and other detritus or if they “sanitized” the area

there were quite a few birds down there enjoying whatever they were finding. Perhaps a few carp were frozen out?
