[ # ] Drunken Spelling Bee Report

I had a chance to check out the Drunken Spelling Bee competition at the 331 Club tonight. Good times.

Things started a bit late, but what do you expect from a bunch of drunks?

Amber and Dave were there. If you don’t have a URL, you’re not getting a shout out.

There were 49 contestants after no-shows were purged and wait-list people were added.

The very first contestant failed, and I believe the next one did too, which made us wonder whether it was going to be over within one round with no winners. Eventually, people started hitting their words through a combination of skill and better luck of the draw.

I think the judges may have been as drunk as the contestants. Watch the video below to judge for yourself.

Fun times. I think this is the start of something big.
