Here is the listing description for this one:
Great S. Mpls Location. Complete Rehab. New Kitchen, Fresh Paint, New Carpet, Lots of Space. Very Clean. New Appliances, bathrooms, windows and More.
That sounds right. It’s listed for $229,000, which seems very fair for all the work that’s been done on this property. This seems like a great option for people working downtown who want a single family home with an easy commute. 42 blocks down 1-way Portland Ave and you’re home. Head two blocks East for the morning commute into downtown on Park Ave. Both streets have dedicated bike lanes, making bike commuting a great option as well.
This past Saturday I played broomball with some friends at McRae park at 46th & Chicago. Great park with three rinks. All were busy. Pearl Park, at 52nd & Portland is another great option with more space. I know that gets a lot of use for summer soccer leagues. And, of course, there is Minnehaha Parkway, heading East to Nokomis and Hiawatha or West to Harriet.
The coolest dining area I can think of near this house is at an easily walkable 48th & Chicago where you’ll find Pepito’s and other fun restaurants. For coffee, I’d walk to 6 blocks the short way to Anodyne on Nicollet.
Here’s a link to the listing site. However, that site isn’t Safari compatible, so around 20% of you won’t be able to view it. Here are links to the same property on MinnesotaHomes.com and Trulia as backups.
There is a dumpster in front of the property in the current Google StreetView of the house. Maybe that’s when renovations where going on?
