Minneapolis Crime of the Week

This is one of the most vivid crime descriptions I’ve seen from the MPD:

2800 blk 17th Av S: Officers responding to shooting entered rear 2nd floor bedroom where they were found man holding revolver to his head, victim of gunshot to chest was on floor while mother of victim stood between man/officers; officers, victim’s mother commanded man to drop gun; suspect shouted he would not go to jail, then shot himself in the head; transported injured woman transported to HCMC with non-life- threatening injuries; approx 8 officers, Watch Cmdr, Crime Lab, Chaplin secured scene
CID investigating

Any bets on whether this was a man or woman? I’m guessing a dude.

15 E Grant Av: Officers responded to report of self-inflicted stabbing; officers discovered victim with serious stab wound to leg; victim admitted stabbing self after finding out relationship had been broken off; victim transported to HCMC
CID investigating

Does this qualify as a “long” foot chase? I’m thinking yes:

4300 blk 27th Av: Officers called to report of man pounding on front door of house; when officers arrived at residence, man fled; after long foot chase, suspect apprehended at E 45th St/Nokomis Av S; suspect had entered enclosed porch before waking victims: Arrested/
BURGLARY(Attempted)
Precinct investigating

This sounds like a long and dangerous car chase to me:

Broadway Av W/Fremont Av N: Officers observed vehicle that had been reported involved in Domestic Shots Fired call 40 min earlier; officers activated sirens, lights in attempt to pull over car, driver accelerated, fled; officers pursued suspect downtown to 8th/Nicollet Av where suspect tried to drive between 2 buses, car became stuck; K9 assisted in apprehending suspect: Arrested/FLEE
CID investigating
