There are Hills in Washington, DC?, originally uploaded by edkohler.

Bill whipped out an elevation chart for the Marine Corps Marathon during out shuttle to our rental car. 250 ft vertical in the first 3 miles, descend, followed by a 150ft vertical between 5-8 miles.

Assuming I survive that, there is a 100ft climb in the last mile.

At least it won’t be TC Marathon hot.

Ever been to Kennedy’s grave site? Great view of the City from there.

That is a really fun marathon. Except for the hill at the end, but even then, you have thousands of people waiting at the top of it cheering for you, and the Iwo Jima memorial rising above you. That race is damn inspirational. Enjoy it.
