Nationally Elected Officials Political Spectrum

Eric Black pointed to a site earlier today that measures, “Non-Parametric Unfolding of Binary Choice Data.”

That’s right.

Apparently, that means they calculate and rank members of the US House & Senate based on their voting behavior.

Among Minnesotans in the House, Ellison was furthest to the left and Bachman furthest to the right.

According to the rankings, Bachman is further to the right than Ellison is to the left.

Reps found to the left of Ellison are primarily from New York, California, and Hawaii.

Reps found to the right of Bachman are primarily from Georgia, Florida, and Arizona.
