Easy Monday Morning Commute

By Ed Kohler | Aug 6, 2007

The commute to downtown Minneapolis was fast this morning coming Longfellow up West River Road. The river road is closed North of the 22nd Ave S intersection, so we turned there and headed up the bluff onto what becomes 1st St N.

The photo below looks North on 19th Ave S from the 1st Street N intersection.

Post I-35W Bridge Collapse Monday Morning Commute

It turns out that Freakonomics author, Steven Levitt, is from the Twin Cities. His post about the bridge collapse includes a link to Wikipedia’s Lake St Bridge page. I didn’t realize that Wikipedia had a category of Mississippi River Bridges that allows you to navigate up and downstream from one bridge’s page to the next.
