Running Hurts

Watch out for roots on the Winchell Trail along the Mississippi River. They can jump out at you if you aren’t careful.

How inappropriate is it to call this my, “Jesus Wound?”

    Ouch.
I saw a show on stigmata that said nails through the palms would not actually support a person’s weight, and that crucifixions were likely done through the wrist. That being said, I don’t think it’s inappropriate at all! Just a little inaccurate :)

That looks rather painful. I hope it’s a quick healer. Or, at least, a manifestation of your new role as St. Kohler, patron saint of Minneapolis Bloggers.

Gabe’s right, it’s more likely that the nails would have been through the wrist, between the radius and ulna, to effectively fix the arms against full or upper body weight. There’s your benefit of a religious school education, right there.

Ed, you do that from skating? If so, I have an extra pair of wrist guards that would help that.

    Safety Boy :)

Well, Paul, since you had to ask, it’s a RUNNING injury. And no, I don’t plan on wearing wrist guards while running in the future.

teucer, I like the ulna and radius mentions. Nothing like getting into anatomy to explain biblical stories.
