Determine if You’re a Super Taster

I’ve been talking about this video with friends over meals all week but keep forgetting to post it. Well, the wait is over. The copy below the video was included in the video embed.

Karina Hill runs, was a Carleton student, and I believe works at Carleton now in some fashion. She’s created some great videos, including some State Fair food tastings and a Clff Huxtable impression.

  1. Michael, I surely would have linked to you had your site been my reference for this video. But that simply wasn’t the case. I don’t believe I have ever been to your site before today.

I suggest taking a look at Karina’s original video on where she included the disputed copy with her video:

Since we both embedded her video, we both ended up with the same text on our site. As the time, I believe embeds included video descriptions. I’m not sure if this is still the case.

I thought this was made clear in my above post where I included the following sentence: “The copy below the video was included in the video embed.

You’re accusing me of stealing copy from you that was actually written by Karina for inclusion with her video. That’s a strange way to start your Sunday.

After being wrongly accused of stealing from you, I think I’m going to pass on the blogroll addition. But may I suggest you add Karina’s vlog your your vlogroll? 🙂

  2. Dear Mr. Klohler,

If you would have examined this a little bit further you would have discovered that the original posting of Karina is located here: with the following text: “So a few weeks ago, I found out that I was a Super Taster. And my life has never been the same. Are you a super taster too?” and that you took the Blip file from United Vloggers ( is the file that we uploaded to Blip ourselves – with permission from Karina and is the permalink on UV ) including the words written by me. I do not mind that you quoted us, moreover I appreciate it; my only remark was that it would have been nice if you mentioned it. So I was not accusing you of stealing as much as quoting me without attribution. But who cares anyway, it is not THAT important after all. But thanks anyway for listing us in your Blogroll and yes, you were right; We forgot to put Schmlog in ours 😉

    cheers & ciao,

  3. It sounds like’s embedding has caused this confusion. How I found your version of her video on isn’t entirely clear to me 10 months later, but the only reason your copy appeared on this site was because it was included with the embed.

If I was you, I’d consider including a link to your site in your descriptions. That would have provided credit to you whenever someone like me embedded a video you uploaded.
