It turns out he was running on liquid courage at the time of the robbery and used his “earnings” to purchase more vodka:

The getaway turned out to be short-lived. The FBI announced Thursday that a Minneapolis man, Keith Wells, 39, has been arrested and charged with the robbery.

Tips from the public led to the arrest, the feds said. The public was in a position to give tips because the robber managed to have excellent surveillance portraits of himself taken at the bank, which were shown on television and published in the paper.
