[ # ] What’s the Deal with Laptop Coolers?
January 28th, 2007 under -cat

Kingwin Ultra Cool 3-in-1 Multi-Function Notebook Cooler Pad with 8-in-1 Card Reader / USB HubSomeone help me understand these things. Why do we need laptop coolers? Sure, laptops get hot, but is it worth the pain and effort of getting something like this to cool them? Is it designed to cool the laptop or my lap? If my lap, that limits the market to people who actually put their laptop in their lap, find their laptop to be hot, and are willing to strap something like this on the bottom of it.

I use what’s arguably the hottest laptop on the market today, a MacBook Pro, but haven’t found the need for one of these.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve looked at these things thinking, “Oh, that’s cool . . . um . . . I think?”

So, who buys these things?

I’m witing on my wife’s Mac Book Pro and can’t believe how cool it is compared to my Toshiba. My lap feels really, really cool. I wish I owned one of these…

Your Toshiba must be as hot as the sun. My Macbook Pro has removed the hair from the top of my thighs. It’s not pretty.
